The airport included for roundtrip ground transportation is Liberia - Daniel Oduber - Guanacaste (airport code: LIR).

Anyone choosing to fly into/out of San Jose - Juan Santamaria (SJO) will be responsible for additional transport costs and should plan to arrive at least one day early to provide ample time to arrive for the first night's Happy Hour event.

No, this is not an all inclusive resort/package.  Despite having multiple on-site restaurants and multi-course meals included for prior trips, we removed it from the base packages after feedback suggested our guests preferred the option to explore local restaurants for their lunch & dinner meals.  If you prefer to charge everything on site to your room, the hotel provides an option to charge expenses at hotel restaurants and bars to the card you leave on file during check-in!

Yes, you can choose to have lunches and dinners included as an add-on after booking your package!

Cancellation & refund policy are as follows:

Cancellations received at least 60 days prior to arrival: 

All but 15% of the Total Package Cost is refundable.  This is in order to cover the administrative needs related to registration, planning, & processing.* 

Cancellations received within 60 days of arrival: non-refundable.*

*If paying by Payment Plan option: missing payments / not following the payment schedule will result in forfeiture of prior payments AND of your reservation (see Payment Plan Policy for details)

Important Notes:

Total Package Cost = Total amount owed to Costa Rica Surf Trip for the package chosen upon registration.  

Registrants choosing a payment plan option should note: refundable amounts are based on calculations off of the total for the package (NOT the amount paid to date).

Cancellations must be requested in writing to CRsurftrip@gmail.com by 11:59 EST the day before the cutoff date above to be processed per these guidelines.

In the case the trip must be rescheduled for alternate dates for unexpected reasons out of our control:

Your payments will be transferred to those dates and any difference in price will either be charged to you (in the case of an increase in price) or returned to you (in the case of a decrease in price).

When opting for a payment plan at checkout (where permitted):

Please be aware that as soon as you book, it creates work and sets in motion our team who will ensure your ideal experience without glitches for the smoothest possible vacation for you!  The same way that you must make payments on time, WE must make payments on time.  For this reason, when opting for a payment plan with us during your checkout, and after completing your reservation:

Choose a plan that will complete before your arrival.  

There are multiple trip dates available so to offer you the best possible payment plans, they all show as available.  You must choose a plan that has payment completion prior to arrival, or we will have to contact you to update.   Please help us cut down on this extra unnecessary step, and choose an appropriate payment plan for your trip date!

Review your email for your confirmation and be sure to add us to your trusted senders list to receive future notifications

Notify us immediately at CRsurftrip@gmail.com if you did not receive a confirmation.  Occasionally our guests have been known to input their own email addresses incorrectly on checkout or they get snagged by your email provider.  "I did not see the notice" is not a valid excuse for late / missed payments.

Daily/Weekly/Monthly payment dates are automated, and based on the day of your initial registration payment

Unless discussed with us or notified otherwise

It is the sole responsibility of the client to be aware of the required payment dates and to complete those payments on time.

Payments that have not been made within 14 days after a required payment date will be automatically cancelled without additional notice and the totality of the payments made to date will be non-refundable.

If you know you will need an extension for payment, contact us PRIOR TO THE PAYMENT DATE

We are happy to work with you for an alternate payment arrangement whenever possible, to avoid losing your reservation and past payments but we will not chase you down for payments. Requests for payment arrangements or extensions received later than this date will not be honored as they do not allow us sufficient time to make alternate arrangements with providers for payment schedules on our end.
