Our Costa Rica Surf Camps are world-famous!  The surf camps are curated by our internationally recognized director of surf and founder, Jairo Zúñiga.  He was born and raised in Costa Rica and has traveled the country surfing since he was a kid when he first participated on the Circuito Nacional de Surf (CNS) - Costa Rican National Surf Circuit.  Coach Jairo chooses locations that offer waves for you at each different level along your surfing journey to make sure you will have conditions appropriate for your needs!  He personally chooses the lesson or coaching session times for each location based on the tide, swell, weather conditions, and outside factors that may impact your experience (like holiday crowds, for example)!

Coach Jairo's patience, focus, personal surf achievements, determination, and worldview have made him a sought-after instructor both domestically and internationally.  Many of our guests come to Costa Rica specifically for the opportunity to learn from his expertise in his element at home in the land of Pura Vida!  Jairo has hand picked the instructors on our coaching staff to make sure we only offer you the very best!  He has found responsible, respectful, professional, patient, fun and friendly team members that work together as a big surf family to make sure you are always taken care of as you progress toward your surf goals.  While he no longer coaches every camp, he remains the director of all of our surf camps and is highly involved in the progress of each of our guests even when he isn't in the water with you!  His proven teaching system to advance surfers to the next level is in practice for all of our Costa Rica surf camps.
