Our Costa Rica Surf Camps are world-famous! The surf camps are curated by our internationally recognized director of surf and founder, Jairo Zúñiga. He was born and raised in Costa Rica and has traveled the country surfing since he was a kid when he first participated on the Circuito Nacional de Surf (CNS) - Costa Rican National Surf Circuit. Coach Jairo chooses locations that offer waves for you at each different level along your surfing journey to make sure you will have conditions appropriate for your needs! He personally chooses the lesson or coaching session times for each location based on the tide, swell, weather conditions, and outside factors that may impact your experience (like holiday crowds, for example)!
Our Proven System for Surf Progress
Coach Jairo's patience, focus, personal surf achievements, determination, and worldview have made him a sought-after instructor both domestically and internationally. Many of our guests come to Costa Rica specifically for the opportunity to learn from his expertise in his element at home in the land of Pura Vida! Jairo has hand picked the instructors on our coaching staff to make sure we only offer you the very best! He has found responsible, respectful, professional, patient, fun and friendly team members that work together as a big surf family to make sure you are always taken care of as you progress toward your surf goals. While he no longer coaches every camp, he remains the director of all of our surf camps and is highly involved in the progress of each of our guests even when he isn't in the water with you! His proven teaching system to advance surfers to the next level is in practice for all of our Costa Rica surf camps.

Our goal is to be able to meet you at the level you arrive with, and coach you through all of the levels you want to get to in our camps. Our hope is to have guests use our camps as a reliable surf system to enhance surf performance from the basic needs of true beginner surfers up through the minute details, tweaks and support required for competitive professional surfers. In an ideal world, we help you get so good, you phase out of our surf camps! Our Build Your Own Trip is the ultimate surf goal - where we will be able to tailor a surf trip for you anywhere in the country so you can swell-chase on a whim with us, pack up for a girls' trip to a dreamy break, or bang out a boys' trip to some of the most talked-about surf spots in the professional surf world... wherever your surfer hearts want to go, we want to take you - as always with the expert guidance of our expert professional Costa Rican surf team!
Beginner Surf Camps
With us, Beginner Surf Camps mean calm waves and few to no hazards or obstacles to get you comfortable with your board and the waves and build your muscle memory.
Intermediate Surf Camps
Our intermediate Surf Camps offer green waves with opportunities to go down the line and practice maneuvers on waves that are more challenging than those you practice on as beginners, but in a more controlled size to be sure you are focused on the skills, direction, and movement of the waves instead of worrying about the size or swell (we'll handle that)!

Advanced Surf Camps
Advanced surf camps are located at or near consistently larger waves and often have stronger currents for surfers at high and/or competitive levels. These surf camps may also be labeled advanced when they are unpredictable or change throughout the year, to make sure you do not get in over your head (literally) until you're ready!
