We provide our
Costa Rica Build Your Own Trip planning services free of charge ($250 value) to our guests who book a Sámara Surf Camp and need our help to extend on the front, back, or BOTH ends of your trip!
What are my extension options?
The sky is the limit! Many guests choose to extend their Sámara surf camp for more time in the water with our amazing team at the beach, while others opt to head to the rainforest, cloud forest, volcano, another beach, or multiple destinations! We are known for our custom trips, so whatever you’re dreaming of: we can make it happen!
Which international airport is closest to Sámara Surf Camp?
The airport included for roundtrip ground transportation is Liberia – Guanacaste – Daniel Oduber (LIR).
Anyone choosing to fly into/out of San Jose – Juan Santamaria (SJO) will be responsible for additional transport costs and should plan to arrive at least one day early to provide ample time to arrive for the Welcome Event.
Is Sámara Surf Camp all inclusive? / Can I get lunch & dinner included?
No, this is not an all inclusive resort/package. Despite having multiple restaurants nearby and multi-course meals included for prior trips, we removed this from our base packages after feedback suggested our guests preferred the option to explore local restaurants for their lunch & dinner meals on their own! Please let us know if you have any concerns, we are happy to help make sure you are comfortable with your stay!
Sámara Surf Camp Cancellation Policy
Your Surf Camp in Samara has two parts:
1) Non-refundable: $250
- This deposit is non-refundable if you cancel your trip at any point in time after receipt of payment in order to cover the administrative needs related to registration, planning, & processing.
2) Refundable Balance (with 60 day notice)
- Aside from the $250 non-refundable payment, the balance of the surf camp payment is refundable for cancellations requested by email to CRsurftrip@gmail.com by 11:59 EST at least 60 days prior to arrival.
- Within 60 days of Surf Camp Start Date, balance payments are non-refundable.
If we must reschedule Surf Camp for alternate dates for unexpected reasons out of our control:
If you CAN make the rescheduled dates:
Your payments will be transferred to those dates and any difference in price will either be charged to you (in the case of an increase in price) or returned to you (in the case of a decrease in price).
If you can NOT make the rescheduled dates:
Your payments may be used as a credit available for 1 year from the original trip date.
